Miniature Shaker Round-Top Candle Stand Circa 1830
This is perhaps one of the most common Shaker pieces, known around the world as a beautiful and functional example of Shaker craftsmanship and construction ingenuity. Made originally in New Lebanon NY this is considered by most as fine a work of art as one will find in furniture. I make this table in a dark natural finish and all typical period colors. The original table from which I took the measurements resides at Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
